Which solutions and improvements did you introduce for your client? And how did this contribute to your client’s success?
Videojet "Our goal was to deliver a reliable, robust, flexible, easy to integrate Thermal Inkjet solution that meets the requirements of Track & Trace Solution Providers offering in addition improved production line efficiencies – the m600 oem.
In contrast to our competition, we have managed to design a printer that is as 60% smaller than comparable legacy print controllers and has countless mounting orientations. Thus, Track&Trace Solution Providers can easily integrate our coding solution into their T&T station. Moreover, the Perpetuo Print Mode extends production runs as the operator can replenish ink without stopping the line. That’s a novum for Thermal Inkjet printers."
What was the innovation within your project which made you win the 2nd CEE Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Excellence Award?
Videojet "There are 3 major reasons why the jury has chosen our product. Firstly, the significant size reduction of the printer controller. Secondly, the Perpetuo Print Mode that extends production runs.
Last but not least, the m600 oem is fitted solely with a 3.5-inch display for presenting machine diagnostics, but with no ability to input data or to access printer control. All printer operations are controlled via inputs to host HMI. This helps to reduce operator errors significantly. And as we all know, safety plays a major role in the pharmaceutical industry."
How do you think the recognition is helping you to raise your brand awareness further?
Videojet "PHARM Connect is a well-known congress in Europe and especially in the CEE region.
The award helps us to raise more awareness that Wolke is now part of Videojet Technologies and that we deliver innovative high-end solutions that meet tomorrow’s serialization requirements."
From your perspective, which are the biggest challenges the pharmaceutical industry is facing nowadays in the CEE region?
Videojet "In order to become compliant with the FMD, significant investments and changes are required to pharmaceutical packaging lines and systems. There are already significant lead times for key hardware components, and this situation will not improve as a large number of pharmaceutical companies will now be forced to take action to be ready in time. So getting the hardware components in time will be one of the biggest challenges, especially for the mid-tier and small-tier market segments."
How are you supporting your clients to overcome them?
Videojet "Videojet is investing heavily in supporting our customers in the pharmaceutical market. We will ensure that we have capacity to deliver our products with short lead times both today and in the coming years."
Are you planning to apply for the award again in the future?
Videojet "Of course, we will apply again. The award helped us to raise awareness in the market and gave us the perfect platform to show our solutions during the PHARM Connect."
Are you planning to attend PHARM Connect again next year?
Videojet "Yes, we are planning to attend the PHARM Connect next year again. As the CEE region is handled by our distributors, we will include them as well."
