PHARM Connect stays in Marriott, changes city for 2024!

Central and Eastern Europe’s leading B2B life science event, the PHARM Connect Congress returns to Budapest to underline the regional CEE nature of the event, following two great back to back visits to Warsaw.

.

In Warsaw earlier this year, decision-makers yet again enjoyed the opportunity to benchmark with their peers from across the Central & Eastern European pharma and biotech industries and to gain fresh information necessary to excel in their work, as well as to find much-needed solutions in today’s rapidly changing business environment.

The congress’s informative presentations and panel discussions were led by well-known University professors and highly-acclaimed industry experts from companies like Polpharma Biologics, Belupo, Sandoz-Novartis, Gedeon Richter, Ryvu Therapeutics, Molecure, Arterium, Tive, JPP Biologics, Adamed, etc. who shared their views with the academic entities such as the Polish Union of Innovative Medical Biotech Companies - BioInMed, Biological and Chemical Research Center University of Warsaw, Medical Research Agency of Poland and the Vienna University of Technology.

The executives touched vital topics in drug development, processes in the pharma industry in CEE, as well as how collaboration between academia and the pharmaceutical industry can enhance innovation in CEE. As biotechnology is an increasingly important topic in CEE as well, a specific Polish Biotech focus day was set up with speakers such as the CEO of Molecure, the CSO & Executive Vice President of Ryvu Therapeutics, CSO & Vice President of the Board of Directors of Pure Biologics or the President of the Board of the Polish Union of Innovative Medical Biotech Companies BioInMed.

Repeating the established great partnership, after 2022, the Novartis Plant and Packaging Centre in Stryków opened the doors again for a selected number of delegates which was extremely well received again.

During the two days, PHARM Connect brought together over 400 global and regional decision-makers, industry executives and business development leaders from over 30 countries to identify new business opportunities, technologies, and state-of-the-art formulation development strategies to foster the exchange of ideas. The attendees conducted nearly 2,000 one-to-one business meeting with the solution providers, of which over 30% were newly joined companies, a number that reflects to the awareness and attraction of PHARM Connect in the market.

Based on the demand to establish a rotation between two significant cities in the CEE pharma industry, Warsaw and Budapest, PHARM Connect will now move back to the latter in 2024, in order to provide another opportunity for the experts of the pharma industry to gather whilst enjoying the panorama of the Danube, in The Marriott Hotel Budapest.

As biotech keeps having more and more importance and impact on the CEE pharma market as well, CEE biotech and biopharma topics are expected to play a significant role in the topics of next year’s event in Budapest, with the view of continuing the strategic cooperation with the key players in this field in CEE.
